31DBBB: Day Two . . . The List

by bubbleboo on 20/07/2010

So, yesterday went well, I thought.

It did, didn’t it?

Don’t you think?

By ‘well’, I obviously mean that I actually managed to get it done. And before midnight.

So yes, it went well.

*nods*

On to today’s challenge…

(Is it only Day 2? Really?)

Today’s challenge was to write a post in list format, or at least with some kind of list in it. Hmm. I’m just going to come right out now and say that I really am not a fan of list posts. At all.

Yes, I have occasionally been known to write list posts, but it happens infrequently and they are not the easiest posts for me to write. Probably because I tend to waffle. Rather a lot. You might have noticed that.

Apparently ‘essay-style’ posts can be a bunch of messy text. I beg to differ. I always justify my text so that it’s neat, tidy and easy to read. So there. I’m OCD like that. (Those that know me know that’s just the tip of the iceburg!)

So, what subject to pick? For my list. You remember. Up there ↑ somewhere!

In the past, I have been rather drawn to the odd ‘Inspirational Quote of the Day’. No, not an odd quote. I mean sometimes I post a quote… Oh, never mind.

I therefore decided that for my list I would share some uplifting quotes with you, in the hope that not only will it complete my task, but also that it might brighten your day a little :)

bubbleboo’s List of Inspirational Quotations:

(catchy, eh?)

*Ahem*

1. A Get-Off-Your-Butt Quote:

Don’t go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first.

〜 Mark Twain

2. A How-To-Live-Life Quote:

I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.

〜 Maya Angelou

3. A Get-Over-Yourself Quote:

People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness. Just because they’re not on your road doesn’t mean they’ve gotten lost.

〜 Dalai Lama

4. A Keep-Your-Chin-Up Quote:

If they can make penicillin out of mouldy bread, they can sure make something out of you.

〜 Muhammad Ali

5. A Get-Back-Out-There-And-Show-Them-What-You’re-Made-Of Quote:

Don’t aim for success if you want it. Just do what you love and believe in, and it will come naturally.

〜 David Frost

So, there you go. A little list and a little inspiration, all rolled into one.

Can’t wait for tomorrow’s challenge!

Well, it can’t be worse than that.

Can it?

Fabulous list! Love the one from the Dalai Lama… so true… I think we all tend to get a little wrapped up in our own "road" sometimes. Keep up the awesome work with the 31DBBB Challenge!

That Muhammad Ali quote has me worried. What will "they" make out of me? I don't think I'm medicine material.

ROFL! Um, maybe 'they'll' consider you for something else instead!
